The unique factor in a Field Trial is that it is not just a person, the team consists of an animal and a human – dog and handler – a man and his best friend. Two brains working together to complete a series of tests, which brings a whole new dynamic to the word “competition.”
A National event is the largest individual stake, the most prestigious event any Field Trial Retriever, Owner and Handler could be a part of. It is the best of the best in the Retriever Field Trial world. The National Retriever Club has brought to you this competition for seventy nine years. They have crowned seventy eight champions, and Saturday will crown their seventy ninth. As proven in this National, more accurately in this 8th Series, it is a very rigorous and challenging competition to become a National Field Champion.
