Right Flyer - One loop just short of the mark. Gamble then got farther right to his bird, coming in with a wing over his eye.

Left Retired - Down into the pond, up and out and straight to the bird.

Middle Flyer - Nice line down the field with one quick turn short. Gambled popped and had to be handled to the bird.

In The Books - Series 5

Series 5 is in the books at 11:39 am with dog #29 Champ, and Eric Fangsrud completing their test.

We started Series 5 on Tuesday, November 12 at 7:09 am with dog #31. We finished the first day of testing with dog #99 at 4:40 pm. Today, our second day of this test started with dog #94 at 7:03 am.

Between the two days it took 14 hours 7 minutes for 81 dogs to complete this series. That is approximately 10.5 minutes per dog.

Right Flyer - Straight to the bird - Smacked IT

Left Middle - Champ went up on the right side. He got over to the left to the fall area and missed the bird. Back out the right for a wide loop then back to the left for a hunt and the bird.

Left Flyer - Excellent line up the field towards the bird. Champ got deep and came back down left of the bird. He hunted left and right in a wide pattern but got too deep and had to be handled.

Middle Right - He went up the middle on a great line, then broke down and had to be handled to the bird.

Rerun - 25. FC AFC HORSETOOTH'S CENTER ICE, "Stanley" LM, Marcy Wright

Right Flyer - Multiple shots on a long bird but Stanley nailed it.

Left Middle - He went out left of the fall area, then turned right into the cover for his bird.

Right Middle - Stanley went up the right side then hooked the blind. He went left towards the bird and into the cover, to come out with his bird.

Left Flyer - Up the middle of the field towards the bird. He got far enough out to establish a hunt. Stanley worked it out quickly to get his bird.

Rerun - 71. FC AFC DUCK BUSTER'S RED BARRON, "Buster" LM, Paul Sletten

Right Flyer - Very good recovery of a long flyer.

Left Middle - Excellent line to the bird. Buster jumped into the cover and came back out with his bird.

Left Flyer - Good line to the rooster. He got to the area and had a few loops to locate his bird.

Right Middle - The line Buster took brought him along the left of the holding blind. He came into the area under the arc of the bird and jumped into the cover and grabbed his bird.

No Bird – 29. FC BIGWOODS LAST MAN STANDING, "Champ" LM, Eric Fangsrud

Champ and Eric had a no bird and will have a rerun at the end

28. FC TRUMARC'S COMEDIENNE, "Wanda" LF, Danny Farmer

Right Flyer - Wanda got out to the fall area and quickly found her bird.

Left Middle - Nice line going under the arc. She turned into the cover and got her bird.

Left Flyer - Up the hill to the blind, she worked her way out to the left for her bird.

Right Middle - Wanda went up the far right side of the line, then cured left to go around the back of the blind. With one loop deep right of the blind, she made a turn under the arc and then went out to get her bird.

Left Middle - Good line, Quick recovery

Right Middle - Bubbles' line took him right of the holding blind but he turned left after the blind. She worked out the bird.

Left Flyer - Bubbles had a significant hunt deep and right of her bird. After multiple passes she expend her hunt towards the flyer.

No Bird - 25. FC AFC HORSETOOTH'S CENTER ICE, "Stanley" LM, Marcy Wright

Stanley and Marcy came to the line at 10:47 am and received a no bird. They will go back and have a rerun.

Left Middle - Jack went up the right side of the field. He cut straight left and grabbed his bird.

Left Flyer - Great line up the field. Half way up he moved to the right towards the blind. Jack then started his hunt pattern, expanded it left and got his bird.

Right Middle - Aiming for the blind...Jack stayed in front of it, went under the arc then went out to get his bird.

Pick Up - 24. FC AFC LANE'S THRILLA N MANILLA, "Frazier" LM, Ryan Brasseaux

Right Flyer - Frazier had a good mark on a long flyer

Left Middle - He went into his mark from the right side and recovered his bird nicely.

Right Middle - His line to the flyer was wide right of the left flyer  blind. He began his hunt deep. Frazier committed to the hunt deep and out of site for a bit. He is handled to the right middle bird when he came out of the cover.

Left Flyer - Judges asked gunners to step out.

Dog #27 Jack will be running in front of #25 & #26, due to spacing issues with handlers.

Right Middle - Hawk went out on a wide right line. He cut left behind the holding blind and straight to the bird.

Left Flyer - He went up the hill to the holding blind and started his hunt pattern close to the blind.. He expanded the hunt until he had his bird. Intelligent hunt!

Middle Left - Straight to the blind, he went right into the cover and came out with his bird.

Left Flyer - Foxx line to the area took him close to the left side of the holding blind. He established a significant hunt pattern deep of the bird. He eventually expanded to get his bird.

Left Middle - Nice line to the area. Foxx was a little deep left of the area and in the cover. He came out with the bird.

Right Middle - His line was right past the holding blind. He then took a couple of loops and into the cover for his bird.

Right Flyer - Deep went out to the bird on a straight line.

Left Middle - His line went right of the fall area  and then to the bird.

Right Middle - He went up the far right side moving wide right and getting around the blind. He came back to the left and missed his bird. Then he hunted to the left and then far right until he worked out his bird.

Left Flyer - Nice line out across the field towards his bird. He came in towards the blind and started his hunt to quickly grab his bird.

Right Middle - Lucy had a check down at the holding blind but moved on to her bird.

Left Flyer - Lucy had a good line to the area then she established a significant hunt that eventually expanded deep. The handler asked for judges to have gunners help. A good effort.

Left Middle - Chester went up the right side and veered farther right. He took a hard left to the area and came around the blind. A few turns into the cover and he had his bird.

Left Flyer - Half way up the hill, he took a right for a big loop then he went on to the blind. He went around the back side of it, then turned left to go out to his bird.

Right Middle - Chester went up the hill on the right side. He got deep of the blind, took a left turn and got the bird.

Left Flyer - Marvin arrived at the area under the arc of the fall. He established a hunt that stayed in the area and yielded the bird.

Rerun - 11. FC AFC STRAIGHT TO THE HEART-DAGGER, "Dagger" LM, Johnny Armstrong

Right Flyer - Direct line to the bird.

Left Middle - Dagger's line up the field was on the right side of the far tight middle blind. He turned left before he got to the blind to cross the field and get his bird.

Right Middle - On the same line at the left middle bird, Dagger started to push farther right to hook around the far blind. He then went left to the cover, missed the bird and got very deep right. He worked back to the bird and got it.

Left Flyer - A great line up to the blind to the back side. He had a loop right before getting out in the front of the blind and finding his bird.
